The University of Bristol has launched its Think Big Scholarship programme for international students enrolling in full‑time, in‑person courses that start in September 2027.

Applicants must hold overseas fee status, have applied for an eligible undergraduate or postgraduate programme, and receive a formal offer from the university by the scholarship deadline.

The online application must be submitted by 1 pm UK time on Friday, 19 March 2027, and successful candidates will be notified by the end of May 2027.

Award values differ by study level: undergraduate scholarships are £6,500 or £13,000 per year, while postgraduate awards range from £3,000 to £26,000 for the first year only.

All scholarships are applied as tuition‑fee discounts; recipients must maintain an average mark above 50 % each year and cannot defer the award or combine it with other Bristol tuition discounts.

The university has committed up to £5 million (approximately KSh 850 million) to the Think Big scheme for the 2027 intake.

Applicants complete a dedicated online form, which also registers them automatically for other Bristol awards such as the GREAT Scholarships, subject to separate eligibility criteria.

Distance‑learning, online or part‑time programmes are excluded, and the university warns that using AI tools beyond basic grammar checks may be treated as cheating and lead to disqualification.

Further details, including full eligibility criteria and the application portal, are available on the University of Bristol’s official Think Big Scholarship page; enquiries can be sent to international‑scholarships@bristol.ac.uk.
