Nairobi‑based travel‑technology firm Triply has introduced a unified platform that merges itinerary creation, booking, client management and payment processing into a single system for travel agencies and tour operators.

The company, founded in 2021, says it already supports more than 500 travel businesses across six African markets, positioning the service for Kenyan agencies seeking to move beyond spreadsheets and separate messaging apps.

Triply’s platform enables agents to generate quotations, build itineraries, book flights and hotels, manage customer records, collect payments and settle supplier invoices without switching between multiple tools.

The service does not compete with consumer‑facing travel sites; instead it targets the back‑office functions that travel businesses handle daily, such as confirming availability, coordinating transport and accommodation, and reconciling cross‑border payments.

A partnership with Choice Microfinance Bank, announced in May 2026, provides integrated payment handling, allowing agencies to track customer payments and remit funds to suppliers through virtual cards and other secure methods.

Triply cites Virtue Explorers as a case study, reporting a 40 % drop in lead abandonment and more than a 50 % reduction in international payment costs after adopting the platform’s virtual‑card solution.

The technology also helped Tulivu Holidays safeguard $8,000 that might have been lost to chargeback disputes, demonstrating the platform’s fraud‑prevention capabilities.

While Triply’s adoption figures suggest growing traction, the company acknowledges that long‑term success will depend on agencies finding the solution affordable, reliable and easier to use than their existing arrangements.
