TMEIC Corporation Americas opened its Twinwood manufacturing plant in Waller County, Texas, a 280,000‑square‑foot complex that expands the company’s U.S. production of power‑electronics equipment for data centres, industrial facilities and energy infrastructure. It is the company’s third American site and the largest among its 13 global locations.

Products and market focus

Twinwood will manufacture and assemble industrial‑scale uninterruptible power supply (UPS) systems for the data‑center market, as well as high‑power medium‑voltage drives and other advanced power‑electronics products used in energy and industrial applications.

The facility’s product mix directly supports the growing demand for reliable, high‑capacity electricity in large data‑center campuses, where continuous power and quality control are critical.

Regional benefits and sustainability features

The project received a $368,838 grant from the Texas Enterprise Fund and a property‑tax abatement from Waller County, underscoring public‑sector support for the manufacturing expansion.

Twinwood incorporates on‑site solar generation and a battery energy‑storage system, aligning with TMEIC’s goal of carbon neutrality by 2050 and adding renewable‑energy capability to the plant.

Beyond production, the complex includes a client training centre and technology laboratories to support product development, customer education and technical services.

Future expansion and broader U.S. strategy

TMEIC plans to move from building out Twinwood to scaling production, leveraging its existing Houston‑area facilities in Katy and Westport to create a regional manufacturing hub for power‑electronics equipment.
