Abel Ajak Geu, 26, has completed a four‑year specialised training programme in medical imaging with a focus on sonography at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) in Kumasi, Ghana.
During his studies he was widely recognised as the tallest student on the KNUST campus, measuring 213.3 centimetres – roughly seven feet – a fact that attracted considerable attention on campus.
KNUST’s official Instagram account announced on 24 October 2026 that Geu had taken the professional oath and been formally inducted into Ghana’s Allied Health Professions Council, the regulatory body for allied health practitioners.
Sonography uses ultrasound equipment to generate images of internal body structures, providing clinicians with visual information that aids diagnosis, monitoring and patient‑care decisions across a wide range of medical conditions.
In an Instagram post following his induction, Geu emphasised his commitment to professionalism, integrity and service to humanity as guiding principles for his forthcoming career in healthcare.
The graduation and council induction mark Geu’s transition from university training to full professional responsibility, positioning him to contribute to Ghana’s healthcare system through diagnostic imaging services.
