The medium‑range tanker M.T. Bellatrix, carrying more than 21,000 metric tonnes of Shell V‑Power gasoline, is one of seven merchant vessels scheduled to call at Mombasa port during the current week.

According to the Kenya Ports Authority’s shipping schedule, the Bellatrix was slated to discharge its Shell V‑Power cargo at the Shimanzi Oil Terminal on Tuesday.

Shell V‑Power is imported and distributed exclusively in Kenya by Vivo Energy Kenya, which markets the premium unleaded gasoline to local motorists.

After unloading at Shimanzi, Vivo Energy stores the fuel at its Mombasa terminal before moving it inland to Shell service stations, including a dedicated rail‑tankers service to Nairobi via Kenya Railways Corporation.

Other vessels arriving this week include M.T. Bow Lynx with 4,900 MT of base oil, M.T. Torm Sublime and M.T. Maria each carrying diesel, and M.T. Pis Rinjani delivering 85,000 MT of motor gasoline, all slated for discharge at Shimanzi or Kipevu Oil Terminal II.

Two additional tankers, M.T. Arctic Tern and Melati 3, are scheduled to unload palm‑oil cargoes at the port, completing the week’s diverse commodity arrivals.
