The Social Health Authority (SHA) announced that the deadline for healthcare providers to finish their contracting requirements is now 31 December 2026, moving the cut‑off from the earlier 14 October 2026 date.

SHA said the extension is intended to let facilities address any outstanding requirements and resolve challenges encountered during the contracting process without interrupting services for beneficiaries.

Existing contracts covering the 2024‑2026 period will remain in force throughout the extension, ensuring that facilities with valid agreements continue to serve patients.

Healthcare providers are urged to complete the contracting process and have new contracts signed and effective by 31 December 2026, ahead of the new contracting cycle that starts on 1 January 2027.

The authority reminded facilities that submitting the required documentation remains mandatory and that the earlier moratorium on selected documents no longer applies.

SHA also confirmed that valid claims lodged during the extension period will be honoured, and beneficiaries will continue accessing services at facilities with active contracts.

To support providers, SHA will keep engaging with hospitals and offering assistance through HAKIKA contracting clinics held at SHA County Offices throughout the extension period.
