Samsung introduced the Galaxy A08 LTE in Kenya with a base price of KES 23,300 for the 4 GB RAM and 64 GB storage variant.

The A08 follows the A07 4G, which was sold in September 2025 for KES 14,995 by Brandcart, Samsung’s official online partner.

The price difference between the two models is KES 8,300, with the A08 priced higher.

A higher‑spec version with 6 GB RAM and 128 GB storage is slated for later in the year at KES 33,100.

No retailer or specific on‑sale date has been announced, and Brandcart’s catalogue did not list the A08 on 21 October.

Hardware and feature differences

The A08 retains the A07’s 50 MP main camera, 2 MP depth sensor, 8 MP selfie camera, 6.7‑inch HD+ display and 25 W charging.

Key upgrades include a larger 6,000 mAh battery (up from 5,000 mAh), a slightly thicker and heavier body, and an improved dust‑proof rating of IP64.

Software support is extended, with security updates promised until 30 September 2032, a year longer than the A07’s schedule.

The base 64 GB model offers 45.6 GB of usable storage out of the box and supports microSD cards up to 2 TB.

Implications for Kenyan buyers

At KES 23,300 the A08 exceeds the KES 20,000 budget threshold that many Kenyan consumers target for entry‑level smartphones.

The higher price reflects a larger battery, an upgraded dust‑proof rating and an additional year of security updates, while core hardware remains similar to the A07.

For shoppers prioritising more storage, Samsung also launched the Galaxy A18 LTE at KES 32,000 for a 4 GB/128 GB version, priced KES 8,700 above the base A08.
