Rise of Fearless, an African‑owned mobile battle‑royale game, announced a US$1 million capital injection from advisory firm Epic Edges Capital, structured as a Simple Agreement for Future Equity (SAFE).
The financing will be allocated to hiring talent, upgrading technology and infrastructure, marketing, and community‑building initiatives aimed at expanding the game beyond its current markets in Nigeria, Ethiopia and South Africa.
Rise of Fearless has also assembled an advisory and development coalition that includes Miniboss Solutions for publishing and marketing, IDG Intelligence for market research, Trick Question Studios for narrative strategy, and Spectra Entertainment for AAA‑level art development.
The game, launched in 2025, draws its core narrative from Ethiopia’s 1896 Battle of Adwa and features characters, environments and attire that reflect authentic African identities and histories.
Available as a free‑to‑play title on the Apple App Store and Google Play, Rise of Fearless has already surpassed 15,000 downloads.
Company co‑founder Muluneh highlighted that the investment is pivotal for the broader African gaming ecosystem, emphasizing the importance of African intellectual ownership and talent development.
