Radio presenter Obinna broke his silence on social media, openly celebrating the termination of Geoffrey Mosiria from his role as County Chief Officer for Public Participation, Citizen Engagement and Customer Service in Nairobi County.
Governor Johnson Sakaja officially dismissed Mosiria on Wednesday, 21 October 2026, days after Mosiria announced his intention to contest the 2027 Nairobi gubernatorial election.
County Secretary Machel Waikenda confirmed that Zipporah Njeri Mwangi, the Chief Officer for Culture, Arts and Tourism, will act in Mosiria’s place on an interim basis.
Obinna linked the firing to a long‑running online feud between himself and Mosiria in his social‑media post.
In his dismissal statement, Mosiria cited *The 48 Laws of Power*, suggesting his downfall resulted from outshining the governor, and affirmed that the sacking would not halt his gubernatorial ambitions.
Mosiria also alleged that his removal stemmed from a dispute over procurement deals, noting that his Health department budget was cut from KSh 1.2 billion to KSh 100 million and that he had been transferred across several departments before his final posting.
Sakaja’s administration framed the changes as an administrative reorganisation and said no formal response had been made to Mosiria’s corruption allegations at the time of reporting.
Online reactions to both the dismissal and Obinna’s celebratory post were described as mixed by the source.
