The Nairobi Securities Exchange announced on Oct 18 that the application window for the Dangote Kenya Inward Global Depository Receipts (GDR) offer has been lengthened by 14 days, moving the closing date from Oct 13 to Oct 27, 2026.
The extension is intended to give eligible Kenyan investors additional time to complete their applications under the Dangote Kenya Inward GDR offer.
The minimum investment has been cut to Sh535, with each GDR priced at Sh53.50, allowing investors to subscribe to as few as 10 GDRs, down from the original 2,000‑GDR minimum.
The lower entry cost is expected to broaden participation among retail investors who previously could not meet the higher threshold.
Kenyan investors can apply through the online portal dangotegdr.e‑offer.app or by dialing *483250#.
Applicants must hold a valid Central Depository and Settlement Corporation (CDSC) account and settle payments in Kenyan shillings via approved channels such as M‑Pesa and electronic funds transfer.
The GDRs give Kenyan investors exposure to securities linked to Dangote Petroleum Refinery in Nigeria, enabling foreign‑market participation through a locally listed instrument.
The NSE urged prospective participants to review the prospectus carefully to understand eligibility, terms and associated risks before submitting an application.
The final date for applications is set for Oct 27, 2026, subject to the offer’s terms and conditions.
