The County Government of Nandi officially opened its new headquarters in Kapsabet, a facility intended to streamline county administration and enhance public service delivery.

President William Ruto commissioned the building during a development tour of Emgwen Constituency, where he also announced additional infrastructure commitments.

As part of the visit, the President pledged to construct 12 kilometres of new roads within Kapsabet town and to upgrade the Eldoret‑Kapsabet‑Chavakali corridor to a four‑lane highway, aiming to turn the town into an economic hub.

A Ksh 351 million Last Mile Electricity Connectivity Project was flagged off, targeting 3,851 households in Emgwen Constituency for reliable power supply.

In the health sector, the President opened a Mother and Child Health Complex at Kapsabet County Referral Hospital and laid the foundation stone for a Ksh 500 million, 120‑bed hospital complex slated for completion in March 2027, which will raise the hospital’s capacity to 670 beds.

The range of projects presented—public administration, electricity, health, sports and roads—were highlighted as key investments to improve service delivery and stimulate economic activity across Kapsabet and the wider county.
