miGuy is a digital services marketplace owned by Asazia Technologies Limited and founded by entrepreneur Sila Kaloki, who leads strategy, business development and partnerships.

The platform lists 42 service categories, ranging from plumbing, electrical and cleaning to legal, medical and automotive services, enabling customers to search for providers by need and location.

Service providers create a profile, specify their skills, service areas and availability, and undergo an onboarding process that collects identification, licences and other compliance documents where required.

miGuy currently operates in Nairobi and its environs, as well as Mombasa and Kisumu, with an immediate goal of deepening market density before expanding to South Africa and Ghana.

The startup generates revenue through three streams: a commission on completed transactions, subscription fees for providers seeking greater visibility, and in‑app advertising aimed at active consumers.

Kaloki identifies informal referrals – the “I know a guy” culture common in Nairobi neighbourhoods – as the platform’s main competitor, aiming to digitise that fragmented network into a scalable marketplace.

miGuy is built as a lean operation with a core technology team, marketing, customer‑care and compliance units, and plans to expand staff across technology, operations and country management as the marketplace grows.
