Senator Boni Khalwale announced on Tuesday, November 3, 2026, that the Linda Mwananchi Movement (LMM) aspirants’ meeting scheduled for Kakamega county had been relocated because of heavy rainfall in the area.
The gathering, originally set for the open grounds at the senator’s office, will now be held in the main hall of the Salvation Army Church headquarters.
The meeting remains scheduled for November 4, 2026, with a start time of 10 a.m., despite the venue shift.
Khalwale posted the venue update on his official X (formerly Twitter) account, urging aspirants to note the new location ahead of the event.
The relocation was deemed necessary as the heavy rains rendered the outdoor site unsuitable for the planned proceedings.
The Kakamega meeting is part of a broader LMM outreach that follows the party’s headquarters launch on October 30, 2026, where Nairobi senator Edwin Sifuna was confirmed as the movement’s presidential candidate for the 2027 General Election.
Following the Kakamega gathering, LMM plans to convene a National Delegates Conference before Sifuna travels to the United States for a diaspora‑engagement tour.
The meeting forms one of several regional engagements the movement has been conducting as it builds national presence ahead of the 2027 electoral cycle.
