Former Baringo Senator Gideon Moi reported that the land document for his property in Kitale Municipality, Trans Nzoia County, could not be located.

The Lands Registry responded with a Gazette notice dated 2 October 2026, authorising the replacement of the missing grant after confirming sufficient evidence of loss.

The notice records Moi as the registered proprietor of Land Register No. 2116/1054, listed under Instrument Register 53898/1, confirming his ownership of the parcel.

Members of the public have a 60‑day window from the notice’s publication date to lodge any objections to the proposed replacement.

If no objections are received by the deadline, the Registrar of Titles will issue a provisional certificate after the 60‑day period, effectively re‑establishing the title.

The deadline falls around 1 December 2026, calculated from the 2 October publication date.

The move follows earlier Gazette notices for other Moi family members, including Raymond Kipruto Moi, whose missing property documents were recorded on 31 July 2026.

Four related notices issued on that day were made under the Land Registration Act, with the Registry confirming that sufficient evidence had been presented to prove the loss of each document.
