The Kenya Power and Lighting Company (KPLC) has announced scheduled power interruptions for Sunday, 25 October, affecting parts of Nairobi, Machakos, Kisumu, Kiambu and Kilifi counties as part of routine maintenance.

In Nairobi, the outage will run from 7 am to 5 pm and will hit areas such as Komarock, Kayole, Joska, Ruai and North Impact, including specific streets and facilities listed by the utility.

Machakos County will see three separate cuts from 9 am to 5 pm affecting Kangundo Road (Joska to Nguluni), Tala and Kangundo towns, with detailed locations such as Joska, Mutalia and Kangundo Hospital listed.

In Kisumu County, only parts of Miwani – including Miwani Boys, Oraro, Nyangeta Police and Makini – are slated for interruption; the notice did not give exact hours for this area.

Kiambu County’s cut is set for 9 am to 5 pm and will affect locations such as Kahunira, Kamburu, Kagaa, Kagwe Tea Factory and nearby schools and shopping centres.

Kilifi County will experience two windows: an 8 am to 1 pm outage for parts of Kanamai and Mtwapa, and a later 9 am to 4 pm cut for Marafa, Garashi and surrounding villages.

KPLC advises residents and businesses in the listed zones to make necessary arrangements before the scheduled interruptions begin.
