Kenya Power has announced scheduled electricity interruptions for Saturday, 31 October, covering parts of Nairobi, Kajiado, Siaya and Nyeri counties to allow routine maintenance.
In the Nairobi region, two separate cuts will affect Kajiado County between 8 am and 5 pm, targeting villages such as Kibiku, Ngong, Gichagi, Lemiso and surrounding customers.
A second Nairobi‑area interruption will also run from 8 am to 5 pm, covering parts of Ngong including Drive 2‑4, Ngong Hills, Manyatta and Kengen.
In the Western region, Siaya County will see a cut from 9 am to 3 pm, affecting Wagwer Primary and Secondary schools and nearby customers.
The Mt Kenya area will experience an 8 am‑5 pm outage in Nyeri County, with a detailed list of villages and markets such as Miiri Market, Kiangai Village and Kianwe Village among those without power.
The utility warned that some locations could be without electricity for up to nine hours, and that telecom boosters for Safaricom and Airtel will also be affected.
Customers in the listed areas have been advised to make alternative arrangements ahead of the maintenance and can direct queries or complaints to customercare@kplc.co.ke.
