Only Turkana and Uasin Gishu are expected to stay dry throughout the period, with sunny intervals by day and partly cloudy skies at night.

Thunderstorms are forecast to develop from Monday across western Kenya and the Rift Valley, affecting more than ten counties including Kakamega and Kericho.

Coastal counties such as Mombasa, Kwale and Kilifi will see showers daily, with moderate showers in Mombasa on Sunday and Wednesday mornings and evenings.

In the central highlands, night‑time moderate showers are expected in Kiambu, Tharaka‑Nithi and Embu from Sunday through Wednesday, while Nyeri and Murang’a receive isolated rains on Tuesday morning and Monday afternoon respectively.

Nairobi will start the week sunny, then experience light showers on Sunday afternoon and night, followed by light rains each morning from Monday to Wednesday and nightly showers, with temperatures ranging 13‑16 °C at night and 27‑30 °C by day.

The north remains hot and largely dry, with Mandera and Turkana reaching 38 °C on several days and Wajir hitting 36 °C on Sunday and Tuesday.

The department advises the public to use the five‑day outlook together with its daily 24‑hour forecasts, and to consult county meteorological directors for localized information.
