Fee reduction compared with previous rates

The Ksh210 charge replaces the earlier Ksh650 fee, reflecting a government effort to lower the cost of this essential document.

A prior proposal by the Ministry of Interior to raise the fee to Ksh1,000 was contested in court and has not been implemented.
