The High Court issued a consent on 30 September permitting eight authorised officials, including centre manager Margaret Kimani Kabugi, to access Gatoto Community Primary School from 1 October to 30 October to ready the 2026 Kenya Primary School Education Assessment (KPSEA) and Kenya Junior School Education Assessment (KJSEA).

The consent requires the authorised team to cooperate with the school’s existing staff, ensuring that both groups work together for the success of all candidates.

Current school management, staff and agents have been ordered not to obstruct the authorised officials while they carry out examination duties.

KNEC officers, including supervisors, invigilators, monitors and accompanying police officers, are also authorised to enter the school for the assessment period.

KNEC CEO David Njeng’ere testified that the 303 candidates had been registered between 16 February and 31 March, and their details are now fixed on the council’s nominal roll, making any changes impossible without compromising exam integrity.

Examination materials for the 303 learners have already been printed and stored at a KNEC warehouse, awaiting distribution to the centre.

The first exam paper is slated for 26 October, and the centre manager’s access to the school is authorised until 7 November under the court‑approved arrangement.

The court indicated that the measures aim to safeguard the learners’ educational interests while the broader management dispute continues.
