GreenShift Forum 2026 is scheduled for 22 October 2026 at the Hyatt Place Westlands in Nairobi.
The event is organised by TechTrends Media, Ardena Consulting and Africa Business Communities and is built around six thematic tracks: ESG as Competitive Advantage, Green Finance and Carbon Markets, eMobility, Circular Economy, Renewable Energy Innovations and Public‑Private Partnerships.
The programme is aimed at senior business leaders assessing sustainability‑related investments, founders of climate‑tech startups, finance professionals evaluating green projects, operators in transport, manufacturing and resource management, as well as policymakers and development‑sector participants.
Key partners include Absa, Bolt, Family Group Foundation, Samsung, VFS Global, WOJO and Maudhui House, highlighting the cross‑sector collaboration the forum seeks to foster.
Participants are encouraged to arrive with a specific decision or implementation challenge – such as financing structures for electric‑vehicle products or metrics for measuring ESG performance – to maximise the practical value of the discussions.
Registration is open through the official GreenShift Forum page, where tickets can be purchased online.
What each track offers Kenyan businesses
The ESG as Competitive Advantage track will examine how environmental, social and governance factors influence strategy, investor confidence, risk management and market access, helping firms link sustainability commitments to operational evidence.
Green Finance and Carbon Markets will focus on funding mechanisms, credit generation, verification standards and regulatory conditions that affect the commercial viability of carbon‑offset projects.
The eMobility track will address vehicle acquisition costs, financing options, charging or battery‑swapping infrastructure and operating models, which are critical for fleet operators and urban transport providers.
Circular Economy discussions will explore waste reduction, material recovery, product‑life‑extension and supply‑chain redesign, highlighting revenue opportunities that depend on collection systems and markets for recovered materials.
Renewable Energy Innovations will cover solar, storage and energy‑efficiency technologies, with emphasis on installation costs, reliability, consumption patterns and expected financial returns for Kenyan firms.
Public‑Private Partnerships will look at joint infrastructure development, financing and policy implementation, illustrating how coordination between government, private firms and development agencies can overcome resource constraints.
