Google unveiled the Skilling Africa with Google website on 2 November 2026, a free, single‑sign‑on portal that aggregates more than 15 of its training programmes, including Hustle Academy, Google Career Certificates and Google Cloud Skills.
The offline‑capable Skilling App lets learners download bite‑sized lessons over Wi‑Fi and complete them without an internet connection, addressing high data costs and inconsistent connectivity.
An AI‑powered Study Buddy called SCOUT provides personalised guidance, while gamified elements such as a Skill Tree let users track progress, earn badges and follow curated pathways.
Managing Director Alex Okosi said the hub is built for African learners and brings together Google’s skilling programmes to make digital and AI learning more accessible.
Google aims to equip three million Africans with digital and AI skills by 2030, adding to its earlier record of training over seven million young people through previous programmes.
The hub requires no app‑store download; users can sign in via Google Single Sign‑On and immediately access the learning catalogue.
Google invites interested learners to explore the platform and upcoming courses through the Google Africa Blog.
