Glovo finished its 2026 Partner Academy series with a regional session held in Nakuru, bringing together 50 local entrepreneurs, mainly micro, small and medium‑sized enterprises (MSMEs).

The workshop focused on improving operational efficiency, catalog management and digital‑marketing tools to help merchants grow sales on on‑demand delivery platforms.

Glovo currently works with more than 6,000 Kenyan businesses, of which 80 % are MSMEs, underscoring the platform’s reliance on small‑scale traders.

In 2025 the platform generated over US$1 million in sales for restaurant and retail partners in Nakuru, supporting more than 110 active merchants on the service.

Glovo’s Small and Medium Size Business Lead for Kenya, Yvonne Muthoka, said the Nakuru session marks a key step in merchant development, noting the city as the fastest‑growing market outside Nairobi and Mombasa.

Participants reported that the training gave them practical methods to track peak ordering times, reduce preparation delays and preserve product quality during delivery, expanding their reach beyond walk‑in customers.

The Nakuru event completes the 2026 cycle of the Partner Academy, which previously ran cohorts in Nairobi and Mombasa.

Glovo plans to make the Partner Academy a quarterly programme from 2027, extending it to additional counties and linking platform analytics to local merchant resilience.

By integrating regional MSMEs into the formal digital economy, Glovo aims to support Kenya’s broader digitisation agenda and strengthen nationwide retail supply chains.
