George Kimutai Ruto, the youngest son of President William Ruto, attended Mang’u High School on Saturday, Oct 3, 2026, to join alumni in unveiling a modern basketball court as part of the school’s centennial celebrations.
He arrived in a white T‑shirt bearing the Mang’u name and was accompanied by SportPesa chief executive and Member of Parliament Ronald Karauri, a fellow alumnus whom George describes as a mentor.
The pair toured the campus, stopping at the school’s Aviation Centre where a teacher demonstrated the training equipment on display.
George interacted with current students on the sports fields before addressing the assembled student body, speaking about resilience and the challenges faced after secondary school.
He studied at Mang’u from 2013 to 2016, completing his KCSE with a B+ grade, lived in the Archbishop Ndingi Mwana Nzeki dormitory, and kept a low profile despite media attention on his father’s ICC case.
After Mang’u, George earned a degree from Strathmore University in 2021 and later qualified as a fully licensed commercial pilot in the United Kingdom.
He shared moments from the visit on his Instagram Stories, prompting warm reactions online as netizens praised his demeanor and future prospects.
