KMPDU Secretary General Davji Atellah said the free medical camp will be held at Uhuru Gardens Primary School in Lang’ata, Nairobi, on Saturday 7 November and Sunday 8 November, with services beginning at 9 am each day.
More than 250 doctors have confirmed participation, among them 60 specialised consultants who will provide medical screenings, general check‑ups, dental care and specialist consultations.
The camp will dispense free medication to patients and arrange referrals for those needing further treatment through partnerships with the Kenya Medical Supplies Authority (KEMSA) and a network of public and private hospitals.
Residents of Lang’ata’s Highrise, Mugumoini, Karen, South C and Nairobi West were urged to attend, as the initiative aims to reduce the long waiting times typically associated with specialist appointments.
Atellah highlighted that the camp offers a chance for locals to access specialised care without cost, while also providing a referral pathway for patients who require follow‑up at other health facilities.
Patients receiving treatment at the camp will be guided to appropriate public or private hospitals for any additional care, ensuring continuity through the KEMSA‑linked referral system.
