A small aircraft carrying registration 5Y‑SKC took off from Nairobi on 5 November with Solomon Waigwa and the Yunge family bound for Mwanza, Tanzania, where the white wedding will be held.

Waigwa, Isaya’s father and Charlene Ruto’s father‑in‑law, headed the delegation, dressed in a yellow shirt, orange trousers, a white headwrap and a gold cross necklace.

The family group included Isaya’s mother, sister, sister‑in‑law and grandchildren, all captured in a six‑photo carousel posted on Facebook by user @swaigwa.

Charlene Ruto arrived in Mwanza a day earlier, on 4 November, welcomed by drummers, dancers and a convoy of luxury vehicles.

The Tanzanian venue follows Kalenjin custom that places the white wedding in the groom’s hometown after the bride’s family hosts the Koito ceremony.

The Koito ceremony was held on 8 August at the Ruto family’s Intonna Heritage Farm in Kilgoris, Narok County, formally linking the two families.

Prior to the travel, Charlene’s bridal shower took place in Nairobi on 3 November, followed by a Mother’s Blessing ceremony hosted by First Lady Rachel Ruto on 4 November.
