Nairobi‑based money‑market manager Etica Capital Limited has issued a public alert after discovering a duplicate website that pretends to be the fund and advertises an average return of 17.55 %.

The bogus portal is registered under the name “Etica Stock Market Ltd” with the domain eticammf.com, a site created on 5 October 2026.

It reuses video clips labelled as “Etica Money Market Fund” and displays a fabricated “CMA Licensed Regulated” badge, although the Capital Markets Authority has not authorised the site.

Two unauthorised M‑Pay channels have been linked to the scam – Till 4320502, listed to NYXOS VENTURES, and Paybill 714777 – both of which are unrelated to the legitimate fund.

Etica Capital confirms that its only official online address is eticacap.com and that its licence can be checked on the CMA’s public register.

All authentic investments are processed through the company’s regulated bank accounts or its verified Paybill number 4096483.

The fund advises savers to activate the M‑Pay “Hakikisha” feature before confirming any payment, ensuring the recipient’s name matches the official record.

Anyone who has sent payment confirmations to the fake site or used the listed Till or Paybill numbers should contact Etica Capital’s compliance desk at info@eticacap.com or via phone/WhatsApp on 0769 999666.

The company also urges the public to share the warning widely to help prevent further victimisation.

The Capital Markets Authority repeatedly reminds investors to verify any fund or intermediary on its official licence register and to be wary of offers that far exceed normal market rates.
