In a TikTok video posted on 7 October 2026, comedian Eric Omondi said he had again escorted teenage internet personality Henry Omondi back to the technical institute after the boy left the campus of his own accord, marking the third such intervention.

The institute’s principal confirmed that Henry was admitted on 2 September 2024 and has received meals and other basic necessities from the start, with no outstanding fees that could force him to abandon his studies.

According to the school’s watchman, Henry once attempted to leave the campus, was intercepted at the gate, fled toward a nearby river and was later retrieved and returned to the office.

The principal added that Henry had previously agreed to return and graduate in March but disappeared again, prompting Omondi’s repeated efforts to bring him back.

Omidani warned residents of Henry’s home village not to hand him pocket money whenever he appears in town, saying cash enables the teenager to skip school and return to the streets.

Online reactions to the video were largely supportive of Omondi, with many Kenyan users urging Henry to stay in school and make the most of the opportunity provided.
