Emirates confirmed that an Airbus A350 will replace the current aircraft on flights EK717 and EK718, beginning operations on the Dubai‑Nairobi route on 25 October 2026.

The A350 will accommodate 298 passengers across Business, Premium Economy and Economy cabins, each fitted with refreshed interiors, lighting and upgraded ice entertainment screens.

Premium Economy, a first on flights to and from Nairobi, offers leather reclining seats with adjustable headrests, a 13.3‑inch personal screen, in‑seat charging, a wood‑finished cocktail table and complimentary amenity kits.

Business Class on the A350 is laid out in a 1‑2‑1 configuration, providing each seat with direct aisle access, fully lie‑flat cream‑leather upholstery, a personal minibar and wireless charging.

Economy Class features a refreshed sky‑blue, bronze and cream colour scheme and 4K adjustable touchscreens running the upgraded entertainment system.

Schedule expansion and recent service enhancements

The A350 introduction follows Emirates’ increase to 21 weekly flights on the Nairobi‑Dubai corridor earlier this year, after adding a third daily service in July.

Emirates opened Africa’s first Emirates World store in Nairobi in 2024 and, earlier this year, partnered with payment platform Cellulant to allow Kenyan travellers to split ticket payments across 24‑hour instalments.

Booking channels and flexible ticket terms

Tickets for the A350 service can be booked through emirates.com, the Emirates mobile app, authorised travel agents or the Nairobi Emirates World store.

All reservations made after 10 August 2026 include unlimited free date changes to Dubai, one complimentary change to any other destination, and reduced refund fees across all cabin classes.
