Police confirmed that a shooting occurred on Saturday night near the Bragg Memorial Stadium in Tallahassee, Florida, leaving eleven people with gunshot wounds.

Tallahassee Police Chief Lawrence Revell said six of the victims were juveniles, including an 11‑year‑old child.

The incident happened a few hours after the homecoming football game in which Arkansas‑Pine Bluff defeated Florida A&M 31‑28.

Authorities have not determined whether the shooting was linked to the game, describing the motive as unclear.

A victim’s grandmother was injured while fleeing the scene near the stadium.

By Sunday morning, five of the injured had been released from the hospital, while six remained under medical care, with one patient listed in critical condition.

Chief Revell said the shooting likely stemmed from an altercation involving two to three individuals and that the department’s Violent Crimes Unit will lead the investigation.

Mayor John Dailey called the incident a “truly horrific and heartbreaking tragedy” and expressed solidarity with the Florida A&M community on social media.

Florida A&M University issued a statement acknowledging the incident, extending condolences and advising the public to avoid the area while investigations continue.
