Senator Edwin Sifuna declared that the last day for Kenyans to register as members of the Linda Mwananchi movement is October 30, 2026, warning that anyone who misses the cut‑off will be permanently excluded.

The registration deadline aligns with the movement’s official party launch scheduled for Friday, October 30, and a major political rally in Kwale County on Saturday, October 31.

Linda Mwananchi’s PR and communication strategist Abigael Gikonyo posted a video on Tuesday, October 27, featuring Sifuna’s past speeches and announcing the registration deadline.

Gikonyo indicated that each registered member will receive a registration number that serves as an entry ticket to the party launch event.

Sifuna also confirmed his intention to contest the 2027 General Election as the Linda Mwananchi party’s presidential flagbearer.

The movement has drawn interest from aspiring candidates across several counties, with reports of political figures aligning themselves ahead of the upcoming election cycle.

In the video, Sifuna framed the movement as a mission to realign Kenya with its constitutional foundations rather than a personal campaign.

He also referenced the late former ODM leader Raila Odinga’s influence on his politics, asserting that the movement will not be deterred.
