DStv Kenya will roll out four subscription packages on 5 November, ending its previous six‑tier system.
The entry‑level Starter package is priced at KSh 750 per month and provides over 116 channels, roughly KSh 6.50 per channel.
Select costs KSh 1,500 monthly and includes more than 149 channels, adding dedicated movie and series content and the first inclusion of M‑Net Movies in the new lineup.
The Sports package is priced at KSh 3,000 per month for over 159 channels, replacing the former Compact tier and delivering every Premier League match, UEFA Champions League, Europa League, Conference League, WWE and UFC, plus a new SuperSport Swahili channel.
Ultimate, the top‑tier offering, is set at KSh 7,300 per month and provides more than 180 channels, including Formula 1, MotoGP, rugby, ATP tennis and golf majors, alongside the full sports and entertainment bundle of lower tiers.
All four packages are available at the same price on both satellite and DStv Stream, meaning the cost structure does not vary by delivery method.
Compared with the previous tiers, each new package represents a price cut: Starter replaces Access (KSh 1,450) at half the cost, Select replaces Family (KSh 2,250) with a KSh 750 reduction, Sports replaces Compact (KSh 4,200) saving KSh 1,200, and Ultimate replaces Premium (KSh 11,700) with a KSh 4,400 discount, roughly a 38 % saving for top‑tier users.
