Anyamah Wa Anyamah, a digital creator known for supporting Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna and criticizing the government, was reportedly picked up by Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) officers on Sunday, 11 October.

His family and friends say they have been unable to locate him and that he has not been presented at any police station, raising concerns about his whereabouts.

Abbie Zuena, a PR and communications strategist for the Linda Mwananchi Movement, posted on X that Anyamah had been taken by DCI officers but had not been formally presented, urging the agency to either return him safely or charge him through due process.

Anyamah’s final social‑media post, made roughly two hours before the disappearance was reported, read “Tumsifu Yesu Kristo 🙌🏽”, a Swahili phrase meaning “Let us praise Jesus Christ”, which followers noted as routine but unsettling given the circumstances.

At the time of publication, Anyamah had not responded to any attempts to contact him, and the DCI had not issued any public statement regarding the alleged arrest.

Zuena also highlighted broader concerns about the safety of young people in police custody, noting that deaths inside cells remain a real threat that should not be ignored.
