Crown Paints inaugurated an Xperience Centre in Mlolongo, Machakos County, targeting the fast‑growing residential and commercial construction activity along the Nairobi–Mombasa corridor.

The facility moves beyond conventional paint retail by providing live colour‑matching technology, displays of textured finishes and on‑site technical advice for developers, contractors, interior designers and homeowners.

Crown Paints Group CEO Mustafa Turra said the outlet forms part of a broader strategy to strengthen the company’s presence in key growth hubs and bring specialised products and expertise closer to active construction sites.

The centre will showcase low‑VOC paint formulations and specialised coatings, reflecting rising demand for durable and environmentally conscious building solutions.

Customers can obtain guidance on product selection, colour application, surface durability and other technical considerations that affect long‑term building performance.

According to the company, locating the showroom near construction sites will improve material availability, shorten project turnaround times and reduce waste for contractors.

Joseph Waigwa, director of Paints & Hardware Mlolongo, described the centre as an advisory hub where contractors, developers and homeowners can access technical expertise alongside products, especially as projects become more specialised.

The Mlolongo investment is part of Crown Paints’ wider growth plan that combines physical retail expansion, contractor training and digital engagement, with further technical support facilities slated for other high‑growth markets across Kenya.
