CIC Insurance Group unveiled three digital channels on Oct 28, 2026 in Nairobi, aimed at widening access to its insurance and financial products for customers and intermediaries.
The services include the My CIC mobile app, the CIC Online web portal and a USSD interface reachable by dialing *304#.
All three platforms connect users to offerings from CIC General Insurance, CIC Life Insurance, CIC Impact micro‑insurance and CIC Asset Management.
The USSD option targets customers without smartphones, while the app and portal provide broader self‑service capabilities such as quote generation and claims initiation.
Agents and brokers can also use the channels to manage client portfolios, view commissions, initiate claims on behalf of clients and share referral links for new business.
Group Managing Director and CEO Patrick Nyaga said the rollout is central to CIC’s Insurtech strategy, giving customers greater choice in how they access financial services.
Two round‑the‑clock contact centres support the digital platforms – one dedicated to health insurance and another handling all other customer engagements.
The launch aligns with the Insurance Regulatory Authority’s push for digitalisation and accessible platforms to improve insurance penetration and financial inclusion in Kenya.
CIC operates in Kenya, Uganda, South Sudan and Malawi, offering general, life, medical, micro‑insurance and asset‑management services across the four markets.
