Bolt Kenya held an awards ceremony on 9 October 2026 at the Nairobi Driver Engagement Centre, recognising its top‑rated drivers in Nairobi and Mombasa as part of Customer Service Week.

Eligibility was limited to drivers who had been active on the Bolt platform for a minimum of six months, covering both car and boda‑boda categories.

Qualified drivers received practical incentives including fuel vouchers, vehicle‑service vouchers and new tyres, alongside other rewards.

The event also provided breakfast, branded T‑shirts and reflector vests to attending drivers as part of the week‑long driver engagement programme.

Arthur Gacharia, Senior Operations Manager at Bolt, said the ceremony offered a formal way to acknowledge work that often goes unnoticed.

Samson Ouma, one of the recognised drivers, said earning and sustaining high ratings requires sustained effort.

Beyond the awards, Bolt highlighted its partnership with the Kenya Red Cross, which has trained 75 boda‑boda riders in first‑aid and emergency response skills.

The firm also cited its collaboration with M‑KOPA to expand electric‑mobility, enabling thousands of drivers to acquire electric motorcycles that lower upfront and running costs.

Bolt said it continues to engage driver representatives, policymakers and regulators on sector issues such as operating costs, road safety and evolving regulatory frameworks.

Globally, Bolt operates in over 50 countries and 850 cities, serving more than 200 million customers through ride‑hailing, scooter, e‑bike and car‑rental services.
