At the 140th Canton Fair held from 15 to 19 October 2026, Chinese clean‑energy company BLUETTI displayed a suite of solar and energy‑storage products aimed at Kenya and the wider African market.
The firm highlighted a pay‑as‑you‑go (PAYGO) model that lets customers pay for electricity in instalments rather than covering the full system cost up front, lowering the entry barrier for households seeking reliable power.
BLUETTI’s PAYGO solution is managed through its proprietary BLUETTI GO digital platform, which provides distributors with tools to track sales, monitor repayments, manage inventory and operate devices remotely.
For residential users, the company presented the HomeStar series, offering battery capacities between 2 kWh and 5 kWh, capable of AC and solar charging and equipped with app‑based energy management for off‑grid or backup power.
On the commercial side, BLUETTI showcased storage systems ranging from 64 kWh to 240 kWh, targeting supermarkets, office blocks and industrial facilities for peak‑shaving, energy arbitrage, critical‑load backup and electric‑vehicle charging.
The firm already operates in more than 40 African countries and said the Canton Fair appearance is intended to deepen relationships with local distributors and accelerate product localisation across the continent.
