Ardena Consulting has unveiled the Ardena Platform, a software suite that centralises ESG data‑management and reporting for companies operating in Kenya and the wider East African region.
The system combines data collection, emissions calculations, performance monitoring and report generation in a single interface, targeting the manual, time‑consuming processes that sustainability, finance and compliance teams currently face.
Key features include automated intake from operational systems, utility providers, HR platforms and supply‑chain partners, with validation tools that flag inconsistent inputs before they reach a report.
The platform also offers dashboards, deadline tracking, version control and audit trails to help users monitor performance, manage reporting obligations and trace data changes.
Ardena maps a single dataset to multiple reporting frameworks—including GRI, SASB, TCFD, IFC Performance Standards and Kenya’s Capital Markets Authority requirements—reducing duplicate data entry across disclosures.
A built‑in greenhouse‑gas calculator supports Scope 1, Scope 2 and Scope 3 emissions, using activity data and emission factors relevant to Kenya and East Africa, while still requiring firms to define boundaries and document methodology.
Designed for low‑bandwidth environments, the platform includes mobile data collection, field‑team workflows and the ability to ingest paper‑based supplier information, catering to remote sites and agricultural operations.
Ardena claims the system can cut reporting time by up to 70% and enable faster reporting across five or more frameworks from a single dataset, though actual savings will depend on data quality and integration levels.
The platform was introduced at the GreenShift Forum 2026 in Nairobi on 22 October, highlighting its focus on East African regulatory and market conditions.
