The Saudi General Authority of Civil Aviation confirmed that an attack on King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh on Saturday afternoon resulted in 12 fatalities and 309 injuries.

Among the dead were four Saudi nationals and eight foreign residents, including two Bangladeshis and one each from the United States, Egypt, Jordan, Syria, Palestine and Sudan.

The injured are being treated in several hospitals, with a number of them listed as being in serious condition.

Operations at the airport were temporarily halted while authorities conduct damage assessments and safety checks.

The Houthi movement, which has been exchanging strikes with Saudi Arabia, said it was prepared for reciprocal measures to keep humanitarian facilities such as airports and seaports out of the conflict.

In response, Houthi‑run al‑Masirah TV reported that Saudi Arabia launched a new wave of air and missile strikes targeting Houthi‑held areas, including Sanaa International Airport and sites near the Bab al‑Mandeb Strait.

Yemen’s government forces claimed to have neutralised more than 1,150 Houthi fighters and destroyed or damaged over 180 vehicles in 1,900 strikes across multiple fronts in the previous 24 hours, though these figures could not be independently verified.
