Xiaomi Kenya has officially introduced the Redmi 15C, the latest addition to its Redmi lineup, promising to redefine what Kenyan consumers can expect from a mid-range smartphone. With a giant 6000mAh battery, a 6.9-inch immersive display, and a launch campaign packed with freebies including Redmi Buds and even 55-inch QLED TVs, the new device is set to create a buzz in the local smartphone market.
At just 7.99mm thick, the Redmi 15C manages to pack in a battery powerful enough to run for up to 82 hours of music playback or 22 hours of video streaming. Thanks to 33W turbo charging, users can get 50% power in just half an hour, while reverse charging means the device can also serve as a mini power bank.
The display is another standout feature. The 6.9-inch HD+ screen boasts a 120Hz AdaptiveSync refresh rate, offering smooth visuals for gaming and scrolling. Certified by TÜV Rheinland for low blue light and flicker-free viewing, the screen is designed to protect users’ eyes, even during extended use.
On design, the Redmi 15C delivers a youthful, stylish look with 3D curved edges and four vibrant color options: Midnight Black, Sage Green, Moonlight Blue, and Twilight Orange. For photography, the phone carries a 50MP AI dual rear camera and an 8MP front camera with portrait and beauty modes, ensuring users can capture every moment with clarity.
Performance is powered by the MediaTek Helio G81-Ultra chipset, supported by up to 16GB of extended RAM and expandable storage of up to 1TB. Running on the new HyperOS 2, the Redmi 15C introduces features like Google Gemini integration and “Circle to Search,” making multitasking more seamless. With IP64 dust and water resistance, a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, Wet Touch Tech 2.0, and 200% volume boost, the device is built for both durability and convenience.
The phone will officially go on sale in Kenya from September 3, 2025, with prices starting at KES 11,999 for the 4GB + 128GB model, KES 14,099 for the 6GB + 128GB version, and KES 16,599 for the 8GB + 256GB variant.
To mark the launch, Xiaomi has unveiled the “OFFER NOMA” campaign, under which every buyer will receive free Redmi Buds (while stocks last) and entry into a weekly lucky draw. Lucky winners stand a chance to walk away with prizes that include four Xiaomi 55-inch QLED TVs, five Redmi 15C phones, and 50 Xiaomi power banks.
Xiaomi says the Redmi 15C reflects its vision of combining powerful performance, stylish design, and honest pricing. The company, ranked among the world’s top three smartphone brands, continues to grow its presence in Kenya and other African markets.
With SITICO 2025 around the corner and tech innovation high on Kenya’s agenda, Xiaomi’s latest launch underlines how global brands are increasingly looking to reward loyal fans while giving them cutting-edge devices that fit their daily needs.
